The time is here!
I can just start to imagine when we can plough through our way eating the jungle, someone's wall like the gingerbread man story! Awesome!!
The second last photo shows the ingredients of the lamp listed on the electrical strip!! :) When unused and/not needed anymore, you can pluck the strip off and use it as compost for the garden or better yet, JUST EAT IT.

Whenever you feel sad
On a lighter note, I finally finished my studio project last Thursday! Now I only have an exam left on Wednesday. If I fail this, I do not know what else to do T.T I'll just have to repeat next year I guess :((
Oh also missing from this blog is my trip down to the state of Victoria. Whoop whoop! Yeah, I went to Melbourne. Yes, it was yet an extremely short trip but really learnt a lot about getting around the place :) and I have to say, I LOVE it there! I love the weather (even though it is very extreme!) isn't that what makes our lives more interesting. The place is very lovely too! Roads are very nicely designed and decorated with beautifully lined trees along the edges, sculptures everywhere. And I mean, everywhere! Just look up and maybe you'll find one sticking out of a pole! The architecture is divine! There's an eclectic mix of classical (of course!) right down to Gothic revival (I heart these ones even though they're not exactly authentic). There's so many contemporary architecture popping out here and there too, especially noticeable are the RMIT buildings located in several locations throughout the city. I just cannot comprehend how in the world Melbourne has managed to save so much of its grand architectural history whilst Sydney threw most of it in the dump and replaced them with some blocky and ugly concrete buildings. WHY CITY OF SYDNEY? Because we are a more commercially-driven society here? Come to think of it, how much better could Sydney look like now if we had kept most of our older architectural gems? Assuming that Sydney may have been a wealthier state in the past, how much more grandeur did we really have in comparison to Melbourne?
If any, (I may be wrong in this) I'm going to compare it with Rome and Naples. As everyone may know already, Pompeii and Herculaneum (Mt. Vesuvius eruption story) are/were located in the Bay of Naples. In those areas we can already see traces of greatness in architecture. Of course, Rome would have been maybe 10 times better but sadly, most of that has eroded over time. It is just lucky for us that Pompeii and Herculaneum were preserved under the debris so that we'd been able to study them more closely. So what I am trying to say is that how much have we lost and why did Sydney bulldoze those things? I know why really, because we wanted to make way for the office blocks used by companies who are our money trees. But why did we not value these things a little higher? They are part of our history and to be able to move forward I don't necessarily think destroying the old is always the right choice. Can you imagine having another 2 or 3 more of QVB or the Strand Arcade. I certainly wouldn't mind it! Dammit. (Yes, this is a fact. Sydney had more arcades back in the day, and no doubt they would have been decorated in the similar lavish manner as the two we still have now too. Don't you just long to see the other ones too?)
Too long of a post today. Photos may be coming soon. Maybe after I finish my final exam.
Ciao! xx

Breeak
But love Maegan is one hectic website!! This is why social media/internet is useful for. I've been hearing things like 'internet should be banned!' - Katy Perry, 'today is the worst time to be famous b/c of the spread of global media, internet and communication in general' - TV. I have had enough of it. Yes, I do realise that internet may pose to be deadly and damaging type of media/communication for some people. Come to think of it people, who really are these people? Usually not those that are just normal people who have done nothing wrong in general. I am not including those that have been bullied cause that's another whole lot of story.
Nowadays, internet has become the number one communication option between us and my other family members overseas. If not for internet, there is no way we could have skype chats, facebook to see each other's faces on a regular basis. So really, it really is an important device for families.
Not to mention, the sheer amount of knowledge that could be gained from it. Photoshop skills/ other software skills and even to makeup skills. And they're all free! It is now so much easier for those who are not doing very well to learn all of these skills they probably wouldn't if internet had not been established yet.
Anyway, enough with daily ramblings.

Photoshop Issue
Essays on the other hand, are just something I've missed doing so much after leaving high school. I also miss doing my Maths, Japanese, Ancient History and English homework! I feel that I've gone really dumb. I mean, I probably don't even remember how to do calculus anymore. What about chemistry? Nope. All gone too. In many ways, I feel that this course is not furthering my knowledge in anything just yet. Everything seems to me to be so abstract and artsy. Nothing wrong with that, I just prefer something that needs a little bit more thinking.
So here's the question. Is this course right for me? Let me get back to that at the end of the year when applications for UNSW open again.

Baby It's Cold Outside
Tomorrow is the big day. This history assignment will be due for the hand in! Which is why I stayed until 9.30 at uni today.
I skipped dinner so I went to the vending machine to see what I could get. As I was looking for my coins, a lady said to me whilst putting her plate of food on a pile in the bin ,'those bikkies are still good, you can have them if you want.' Aww, how nice. I had such an urge to bring them upstairs back to the studio and just munch them away while I try to finish my models.
In the end, I stopped myself from doing so as soon as I picked it up from the bin and saw some insects flying around the other rubbish. I was not that desperate just yet.
This so reminds me of last year when my whole group were just starving and we retreated to scavenging leftover food from a gathering at the exhibition space. The bread was so dry, it was not pleasant but still satisfying to the stomach nonetheless. T'was a jolly good time. lol I do miss unsw!
Okay, I'll now go on to finish up this model before bed. Hopefully it'll be sometime before 2/3am :)

Surprise Visit
Then I wanted to go and see The Star just because it's been recently renovated and now houses one of Adriano Zumbo's patisserie! It was my first time there too! Soo many poker tables and roulette tables and slot machines! I had fun watching people burn their money away while secretly judging them in my head. There was a man who burnt his money fast because he gambled it on the $100 table, didn't even have a sit cause it seemed like money meant nothing to him! Later I found him on the $30 table if I'm not wrong, but it was definitely of a lesser value one. Totally meant he lost his money right..
Then we searched for Zumbo patisserie and we bought 5 macarons; red wine & raspberry, salted caramel, popcorn, watermelon and blackened vanilla. OMG only one tasted good for me! Salted caramel was the best! Red wine was the worst of all, it tasted off! I just hated it. Vanilla was fine but watermelon and popcorn were still a little bit better. I think our $12.50 could have been spent more wisely.
We then made our way back to town hall / kinokuniya and not long after, he was a little impatient to eat the macarons so we went down to the newly refurbished foodcourt underneath TGV to eat it there. It was so fun picking out which to eat and seeing each other's reaction after taking a bite! Especially the red wine and raspberry one! Soon I realised I hadn't done my notes for history yet so I took my leave to go home. Anyway I had a nice time catching up with my friend doing unplanned things. And all these written up in the midst of my procrastination over my comms assignment due in 2 days! Good luck me!

Get me out of here!
Communications is even worse! At the time where our whole semester's work is assessed with some photoshop images, they never taught us the software in details. We had lectures but the lack of notes given as well as the fast pace of the lecturer whilst showing us the steps just taught us nothing. My tutor blatantly said 'There is no time for us to teach you photoshop, you have to learn it yourself. Get some books and watch youtube videos.' No kidding!
So where are we supposed to go with this? I am so ready to give it all up and do nothing. I might just take some tafe courses and see what I can do later on. I'm that fed up with all of this.

Dinner Night
Not until I reached the place where my friends and I were meant to meet up that I got really frustrated. They haven't left yet. There was no way I would have waited at least 30 minutes for them to get there. It was quite a dodgy place you see. I did say at one point to forget it and just have dinner on another night but because I didn't want to disappoint my friends, I still agreed to have it tonight. So I proceeded to stop at a 'better' station and decided I'd go to the toilet during my 30min wait for them. OH MY. As I queued up, a person came running towards the toilet and spewed right next to me. It was as if he could not hold it in anymore. As he opened the toilet door he spewed once again on the door!! At this point, I was really grossed out and was so close to just leave all together.
Anyway, I found the nearest priceline and totally forgot all about it. I was in total drugstore makeup haven so I was quite content, trying out testers and finding new shades of lipsticks. All the things that could make a girl happy. Once I reached the station to get on the train, my friend just would not pick up her phone. I really didn't care anymore and thought I'd jump into the first train I see. But I met her and we went to have dinner at El Jannah. The place was not so packed yet but it was already very busy. Our food came out in less than 5 minutes I would say, it was the fastest customer service ever. Maybe even better than buying a burger! The chicken had very crispy and very very very salty skin. It was good when combined with the yummy garlic sauce. My plate also had pickled gherkins and radish. I, for one, hate pickled stuff (an exception for Korean pickled radish) and so there was no chance I was going to eat all of it.
All was well until an African male who seemed to have been so stoned, came to our table (sat next to me) and started speaking gibberish, asking for money. Oh, I've had nightmares about things like these! Imagine if he had a knife and stabbed me if I didn't give him all my valuables. Or if he assaulted me! Or him and his group of friends (on the other side of the street) bashed us up or kidnapped us! Oh, the drama of living in Sydney's notorious western suburbs.
Ok, now we made way to this dessert place. It was nice, everything was sweet except for the ice cream. They weren't the best in my opinion but some of the sweets I really liked and some, well let's just say, not so much my favourites. I would probably not go back there again just because I don't feel like it's worth my travel time and there are shops around here that make those too. It was a good night although I am now realising that it was best to have had this another time because I still have not done the things needed by tomorrow! No sleep tonight..

The Experience
I did hear the surgeon's knife slicing my skin and it was not long before he started stitching it up. It was all done in merely minutes!
I had the chance to look at the fresh stitched-up wound today and felt so proud of the guts I had to go right ahead with the procedure! Never in my life have I had stitches. Let alone 4 of them!
I cannot wait until the stitches are removed this Monday to reveal a slightly better-healed wound. I hope the scar will go away quickly..
Oh, and here are some of the things I cannot/should really avoid doing at the moment:
- Talking
- Smiling & Laughing
- Sneezing & Coughing
Basically anything that requires my face muscle to move around my mouth and nose area. How sad..
So I've decided not to attend classes until Monday, in case I start talking & laughing too much that my stitches become undone and the wound opens up to reveal a crater of flesh in the middle of my face! I don't want that!
