I think this place deserves a full post dedicated to it. It is one of my favourite places I visited during the trip definitely and you can probably see why through this next set of photos. To be completely honest, I really didn't know the history of this place when I was there. I thought it was only used as a government building but it was actually built to host the Ibero-American Exposition back in 1929 (built 1928). Now that makes sense as to why it's decorated so lavishly in a really unique and artistic manner. The 'river' surrounding the inner of the complex just adds that much more intensity to the experience of the space. The possibility of enjoying such a space from a different method of traveling around the place is just so exciting no? It's just beautiful.
Next I will be putting up Alcazar photos. Now, that's an interesting piece of architecture for sure.
Till then, ciao ciao!
xx
